Alpha Automation is delighted to announce that Robynson Molinari, Technical Safety Manager, will be speaking at the Manufacturing & Supply Chain West Conference & Exhibition, taking place on 25 November 2026 at the University of Limerick. Joining Robynson will be Brian Maher, Senior Solution Consultant and Functional Safety Expert at Rockwell Automation, for a practical discussion on how manufacturers can prepare for the implementation of the EU Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 in January 2027.
Unlike many regulatory sessions that focus solely on compliance requirements, this discussion will explore how modern automation platforms can help manufacturers achieve compliance in practice. Brian will provide insights into Rockwell Automation's PLC and Safety PLC technologies, demonstrating how organisations can leverage existing safety functions, diagnostics, and integrated control architectures to meet evolving machinery safety requirements. With extensive experience in control systems design, functional safety, industrial control, motion systems, and Industrial Ethernet, Brian works closely with manufacturers to develop safer and more efficient production environments. The session will also touch on wider industry trends including the convergence of IT and OT, digital transformation, and the increasing importance of cybersecurity and secure engineering practices in modern industrial environments. Manufacturers are increasingly investing in technologies that improve resilience, security, and operational performance as part of their digital transformation strategies. This discussion will be particularly relevant for machine builders, OEMs, system integrators and manufacturers looking to understand not only what the new regulations require, but how existing and next-generation automation technologies can help satisfy those requirements.
In addition to the speaking session, the Alpha Automation team will be exhibiting throughout the event, providing attendees with an opportunity to discuss machinery safety, risk assessments, CE marking, functional safety, and compliance strategies for 2027 and beyond.
